Hi, we're Matt & Chelsea and - as of April 2023 - we're the new owners of Bells Milk Bar! We are honoured to be entrusted with such an iconic Aussie landmark and can't wait to breathe new life into Bells!
We first came across Bells by accident when we were looking for a laundromat after spending five very dusty days at the Mundi Mundi Bash music festival in August 2022.
It was the building's amazing mid-century facade that drew us in and, of course, once we tasted the milkshakes we were in!
Eight months later we officially took ownership and couldn't be more excited to take on this huge project to ensure Bells survives for another 130 years and those iconic milkshakes and spiders will be enjoyed by generations to come.
While Bells itself is the true star of this show, we've been contacted by so many people who want to know more about our story (and get some of those behind-the-scenes insights) so we decided to document our journey on social media.
